Petplan, the UK’s favourite pet insurance provider and leading equine insurer, is supporting the inaugural Royal Festival of the Horse at Stoneleigh Park, in Kenilworth, Warwickshire from July 9-11, 2010.

Promoting the theme ‘Healthy Pets, Happy You’, Petplan will be giving visitors to their stand the chance to win a fabulous VIP weekend spa break for four people worth over £1000.

At the stand, dog owners will be able to get a free health check for their dog, from a qualified veterinary nurse, and on Saturday 24 July, there will also be an equine and small animal vet on hand to answer questions and give health tips to pet owners.

Petplan has also produced a ‘Healthy Pets Guide’ to give out at the event, which covers essential health care tips to help keep pets and horses healthy. As well as the guide Petplan will be giving pet owners the opportunity to trial four weeks free cover and there will be a special offer at the stand for anyone that signs up to an equine policy.

The Royal Festival of the Horse is an exciting new event that will bring together the best of equestrian sport in a three day spectacular. There will be top-level competition and demonstrations from all the Olympic equine sports featuring the world’s leading dressage rider Edward Gal; a spectacular freestyle dressage to music; the UK’s top show jumpers competing for a first prize of £45,000 and Express Eventing, the compact stadium format of three day eventing. Among the other many and varied attractions will be Pat and Linda Parelli, who will host events and demonstrations of natural horsemanship, and those looking for some retail therapy will have more than 200 stands to keep them busy.
